Step into a world where wonder blooms! Discover the best of horticultural, sustainability and also architectural design at the award-winning Singapore's Gardens by the Bay. Displaying more than one million plants from more than 5,000 species, from every continent except Antarctica, Gardens by the Bay should be on the to-do list for all travellers to Singapore.
Even if plants are not generally your thing, you will be awe-struck by the displays at Singapore's Gardens by the Bay. From the Guinness World Record-holding Flower Dome to the mysterious Cloud Forest and the remarkable OCBC Skyway and Supertrees, you feel as though you have stepped directly into Avatar’s fantasy world Pandora.
The Flower Dome replicates the cool and dry Mediterranean climate and features nine different gardens from five continents. It also holds the Guinness World Record as the largest glass greenhouse.
Explore the misty highlands filled with orchids, pitcher plants and ferns from the cool-moist Tropical Montane region. You will also find one of the world's tallest indoor waterfalls. It's 35 metres tall and you can wander behind it to further your explorations. Within Cloud Forest, there are seven discovery zones.
Suspended 22 metres above the ground, between the Supertrees, the OCBC Skyway provides stunning views of the gardens, Marina Bay and cityscape. Each night, the Garden Rhapsody - a free light and sound show - brings the Supertrees to life! Shows are at 7.45pm and 8.45pm.
